#SOKIDSSTAYKIDS

What we do:
Children’s Healthcare Is a Legal Duty USA ("CHILD USA") is the first think tank for child protection. We aim to prevent child abuse and neglect through evidence-based analysis of current laws and policies. By informing legislators and other policymakers of the facts of child abuse and neglect, laws and policies can be improved. Through these changes, we are to help millions of children at a time.

Current Projects Include:
• SOL reform
• Processing of child rape kits
• Effects of gay conversion therapy
• Medical neglect and vaccination avoidance
• Incidence of abuse and neglect in insular or religious communities
• Game Over: Commission to Protect Youth Athletes (which will begin by investigating Larry Nassar)

What you can do:
Children cannot vote so we must be their voice. Join the fight for children’s civil rights by donating to CHILD USA today. Let’s prevent abuse and neglect.

Over the span of six weeks, at least 2,300 children were separated from their parents and other family members by the government.  These children had little recourse, because the United States has never ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child would grant children on U.S. soil protection against separation from parents, abuse, and kidnapping.  It would make the United States accountable for harm to children -- in all forms. The U.S is far behind the rest of the world when it comes to protecting children and their rights and this needs to change.  196 countries have signed the CRC.  The U.S. has NOT.

The Trump Administration’s zero-tolerance policy resulting in the separation of children from parents at the border is the straw that breaks the camel’s back.  It proves that the U.S. now needs to ratify the CRC.  The images of the suffering children at the hands of U.S. government officials are the wake-up call America needs to finally do the right thing.

Sign this petition to urge the United States Senate to finally ratify the UN Convention for the Rights of the Child and make our government think twice before it endangers children again.
